The number of casualties caused by the detonation of ammunition in a military unit in the Vladimir region has not changed. This was announced by Governor Alexander Avdeev on April 23.

He said that he had visited temporary accommodation facilities in Kirzhachsky and Alexandrovsky districts, where 495 people, including 13 children, are staying.

"The number of injured had not changed in the morning: four people, whom I reported yesterday, three of them were hospitalized," Avdeev wrote on his Telegram channel.

The governor added that there is currently no threat to the lives of the victims.

The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that an ammunition detonation had occurred as a result of a fire on the territory of a military unit in the Vladimir region. According to the agency's preliminary information, the cause of the fire was a violation of safety requirements when working with explosive materials.

On the same day, after the information about the explosion, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation declared a state of emergency in the Kirzhachsky district of the region.
