Sky News announced the cancellation of the meeting of the foreign ministers in London on Ukraine

The foreign ministers of France and Germany postponed a meeting in London on Wednesday, April 23, for talks on Ukraine. This was reported on April 23 by Sky News channel.

It is noted that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was supposed to come to London to meet with the foreign ministers, but his visit was canceled.

"After that, Paris and Berlin also seem to have suspended the trips of their ministers," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, instead of this discussion, negotiations will take place between senior officials from the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany and Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga will also meet with British Foreign Minister David Lammy in London, Sky News emphasizes.

On the same day, April 22, The New York Times wrote that Rubio canceled his trip to London after remarks about Crimea by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. According to the publication, Washington planned to propose to Kiev at the upcoming meeting to recognize Crimea as Russian territory. This did not suit Zelensky, who told the press about his unwillingness to have such conversations.
