Over 3,000 people evacuated due to wildfires in New Jersey

In Ocean County, New Jersey, more than 3,000 people have been evacuated due to a forest fire with an area of almost 3.5 thousand hectares. This was reported on April 22 by ABC 6 TV channel, citing data from the state Forest Fire Service.

"A raging wildfire in Ocean County, New Jersey blocked the Garden State Highway and forced thousands of residents to evacuate on Tuesday evening. <...> According to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, about 3,000 residents were evacuated," the TV channel said.

According to officials, about 1,320 buildings are still under threat. It is specified that at the moment the fire is localized in 10% of the territory. The fire is moving in a northerly direction. Additional circumstances are being established, the cause of the gorenje is unknown.

On March 8, the ABC7 TV channel reported that in the United States, in the city of Southampton, the authorities declared a state of emergency due to fires. The air forces of the National Guard were deployed to eliminate the fire.
