The Chinese Ambassador in Kiev was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Chinese Ambassador to Kiev Ma Shenkun was summoned to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry because of information about the alleged participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities on the side of the Russian Federation in the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

"On April 22, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shenkun was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

It is clarified that the Ukrainian side has received some "evidence" of the participation of Chinese military personnel in the fighting, as well as supplies of military products from Russia by companies from China. All the data was transferred to China.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis, this causes serious concern and contradicts the spirit of partnership relations between Ukraine and China.
