An exercise on ensuring the safety of navigation was held in the Baltic Fleet

A navigation safety exercise was held at the Baltic Fleet, during which military sailors trained to defend maritime communications, escort and protect civilian vessels from attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on April 23 in the press service of the BF.
It is specified that the tactical groups of the BF left their bases and deployed in the specified areas of the Baltic Sea. In total, about 20 warships were involved, including corvettes, minesweepers, anti-submarine, small missile, amphibious ships, as well as hovercraft and speedboats.
In addition, about 5,000 Russian military personnel, more than 10 aircraft and helicopters, as well as about 100 pieces of equipment took part in the exercises.
Much attention was paid to the practice of escorting and protecting civilian naval vessels, including from UAVs, submarines and ships. The crews of the corvettes "Savvy" and "Boyky" launched an artillery strike on a naval target simulating an enemy surface vessel.
The Ka-27 and Ka-27M anti-submarine helicopters, based on corvettes, practiced the search, tracking and destruction of a simulated enemy submarine with training bombing, and the sailors of the BF trained to assist emergency vessels, eliminate fires, repair holes and tow damaged ships to ports.
On April 22, the press service of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) reported that the crews of the Pacific Fleet ships completed the business call program at the port of Chittagong and conducted naval exercises together with the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bangladesh.
