On April 23, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen committed in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the merits of the operator of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Private Alexander Kovalev, who, as part of a group of Russian servicemen, carried out a combat mission to storm fortified strongholds and long-term firing facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

During the battle, Kovalev's group was ambushed and attacked by two enemy machine-gun crews. The private quickly prepared the drone and immediately sent it towards the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The operator calculated the flight path of the drone and, with a well-aimed hit, destroyed first the first and then the second enemy points.

Thanks to Kovalev's clear actions, the Russian military was able to continue their offensive operations and dislodge the Ukrainian militants from an important stronghold.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the actions of the guard of junior Sergeant Vladislav Kastritsky, who commanded a group of attack aircraft and carried out the task of capturing the AFU stronghold.

Kastritsky calculated the actions of the stormtroopers, identified secret ways for his subordinates to approach the positions of the Ukrainian militants from the flank, and personally identified advantageous firing points for each serviceman. After that, he moved at the head of the group in the direction of the enemy's point.

A junior sergeant of the Guards was the first to break into the AFU stronghold and, firing at close range, destroyed several militants. Thanks to his quick and confident actions, the enemy retreated, suffering heavy losses, and his positions were occupied by Russian military personnel.
