The death toll from drinking fake alcohol in the Turkish capital, Ankara, has risen to 105 people. This was reported on Tuesday, April 22, by the TV channel TGRT Haber.

According to him, the main prosecutor's office of the capital continues to investigate the production and sale of counterfeit alcohol. At the moment, 43 people have been arrested, and another 50 have been released under judicial control.

According to the latest information, the number of people who died due to drinking fake alcohol has increased to 105 people, 29 victims are in intensive care, the publication says.

On January 14, Anadolu Agency reported 11 deaths as a result of poisoning with counterfeit alcohol in Istanbul. It was clarified that most of the victims were foreigners. The next day, the press service of the city administration announced that the death toll was 23 people. Six people were detained and two were arrested.
