Dynamo Moscow defeated Ak Bars and advanced to the semifinals of the Gagarin Cup

Dynamo Hockey Club from Moscow beat Ak Bars Kazan in the sixth match of the Gagarin Cup quarterfinal series and advanced to the semifinals of the Fonbet playoffs of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

The meeting took place on April 22 at Kazan Tatneft Arena and ended with a score of 6:1 in favor of the guests. This victory was the fourth for the team from Moscow, Ak Bars won only two games.

Forwards Jordan Will (7th minute), Maxim Dzhioshvili (9th minute), Artem Ilyenko (37th minute), and Maxim Comtois scored a hat-trick for Dynamo (30th, 46th, 54th). Defenseman Mitchell Miller scored the goal for the hosts (51st).

The last time a team from Moscow went beyond the second round of the playoffs was in the 2012-13 season, when they won the Gagarin Cup. In the current tournament, Dynamo will face Traktor Chelyabinsk. The series will begin on April 28, with the first match taking place at Chelyabinsk's home arena.
