As a result of an accident involving a car and a bus in the Leningrad region, 11 children were injured. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

"According to updated data, 11 children were injured in a bus accident in Gatchina district," the Telegram channel says.

The accident occurred this morning on 9 km of the Siverskaya — Druzhnaya Gorka —Kurovitsy highway. It was established that the driver of a Renault Logan foreign car, following from the village of Druzhnaya Gorka in the direction of Orlino, hit the oncoming lane. As a result, he collided with a bus "PAZ", in the cabin of which there were children.

Two passengers of Renault Logan born in 2016 and 2017 received bruises and abrasions, the condition of nine children who were on the bus is assessed as satisfactory. In addition, the driver of the car was injured, he was hospitalized in a medical facility in a moderate condition.

An investigation is currently underway into the accident.

Last night, four people died in an accident in the Apastovsky district in southwestern Tatarstan. Previously, the driver of the Foton truck did not choose a safe speed and ran over Sollers, Lada, KamAZ and Opel cars that stopped at a forbidding traffic light. According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the drivers of Sollers and Lada, as well as their two passengers, died on the spot.
