Estonia will stop paying rent allowances to all Ukrainians. This was announced on April 22 by the head of the Migration Department of the country's Social Insurance Department, Liis Paloots.

"We are gradually moving to the usual procedure, in which support is provided primarily to those who apply for international or temporary protection," ERR quoted her as saying.

She clarified that this also applies to those who do not have a support network in Estonia and who live in state-run accommodation centers at the direction of the Police and Border Guard Departments during the consideration of their application.

According to Ploots, support for Ukrainian refugees is not stopping, but is becoming more targeted and sustainable, clarifies "Газета.ги ".

On April 13, Minister for Integration, Europe and the Family Claudia Plakolm pointed out the need to revoke the special status of Ukrainian refugees in Austria. According to her, unlike other asylum seekers, Ukrainians immediately receive all the necessary benefits. According to Exexpress, in Austria, all refugees from Ukraine receive social benefits, although, for example, in Hungary and Slovakia, only those who come from regions of active military conflict receive assistance.
