A group of terrorists attacked civilians and tourists in the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam in southern Kashmir, killing 27 people. This was reported on April 22 by News18 India TV channel.

"A group of terrorists associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (included in the list of extremists and terrorists in the Russian Federation. — Ed.), attacked a group of tourists in the Baisaran valley in Pahalgam in southern Kashmir, killing 27 people and injuring many others," the article says.

It is specified that among the dead there are foreigners, women and elderly people. One of the injured tourists shared that two terrorists in military uniforms had opened fire on the civilian population.

According to News18 India, the Resistance Front, which is recognized as a territorial organization in India, claimed responsibility for the attack.

On March 31, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar, announced the elimination of 17 terrorists from the Fitna al-Khawarij organization in the north-west of the country by Pakistani security Forces. According to him, the process of eliminating the militants did not affect the civilian population, since the nearest settlement was located more than 6 km from the site of the military operation.
