Putin said that Russia wants to hold a joint summit with Arab countries.

The Russian Federation plans to hold a Russia–League of Arab States (LAS) summit this year with the participation of Arab countries. This was announced on April 22 by President Vladimir Putin during a meeting in a narrow format with Sultan of Oman Haysam bin Tarek Al Said.
According to the head of state, the topic of the summit is already being discussed at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
"Of course, the information passed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We plan to hold a summit between Russia and Arab countries this year. Many of our friends in the Arab world support this idea," Putin said.
During the conversation, the president also invited his Omani counterpart to take part in the event, he adds "Газета.Ru ".
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Izvestia that the Russia–Arab League (LAS) summit would be held in the fall. Its exact dates will be announced later. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation noted that this meeting would be a very representative and important event.
