Lavrov discussed the development of economic cooperation with the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held talks in Moscow with Deputy Prime Minister of Laos Salemsai Commasit. This was announced on April 22 by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on practical cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.

"An exchange of views took place on issues of mutual interest on the regional and global agenda," the Russian Foreign Ministry's Telegram channel said.

It is also emphasized that the meeting took place in a friendly and trusting atmosphere, traditional for Russian-Lao relations.

On April 18, during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Lavrov discussed issues on the international agenda, as well as trade and economic ties. He added that Russia supports the efforts of the United States and Iran to reach agreements on the Iranian nuclear program and is ready to help in negotiations between the countries.
