On April 22, Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, held a working meeting with Vladimir Saldo, Governor of the Kherson region. The parties discussed the development of the agro-industrial and fisheries complexes of the region and environmental issues.

Thus, the topic of restoring orchards in the region, in particular fruit and berry gardens, was raised. The issue of restoring the irrigation system was also raised. Patrushev drew attention to the importance of high-quality spring field work. According to him, the region should monitor the implementation of the structure of acreage, as well as the provision of farmers with financial resources and necessary means of production.

The meeting also discussed the development of the regional fisheries complex, and noted the need not only to increase the volume of fishing for aquatic biological resources in the region, but also to expand the range and increase production of high-value-added products, which will create highly efficient production facilities and new jobs.

In addition, Patrushev and Saldo discussed the results of the implementation of the national project "Ecology" and the readiness of the Kherson region for the activities of the new national project "Environmental well-being". The region participates in four federal projects: "Closed-loop Economy", "Russian Water", "Forest Conservation" and "General Cleaning". More than 2 billion rubles are planned to be allocated to the region for these projects by 2030.

The day before, Patrushev held a working meeting with the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirovich, during which they discussed the development of the agro-industrial complex in the region and the implementation of national projects in the field of ecology.
