Gagauz Parliament Speaker banned from leaving Moldova for two months

Dmitry Konstantinov, Chairman of the People's Assembly (Parliament) of Gagauzia, was banned from leaving Moldova for two months. He reported this to the Gagauzia24 news portal on April 22.
"I have already tried several times to leave Moldova for medical treatment, but I was not allowed to do so. I wrote to the Prosecutor General, they can't even give me an answer. And so that I would not write to them anymore, they made this decision. This is a fabricated, completely absurd case. Political lawlessness," Konstantinov said.
The speaker of the parliament clarified that he was accused of allegedly fraudulently appropriating the distillery. According to Konstantinov, this case "will collapse in court."
On April 17, the head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, reported that the Moldovan authorities were trying to isolate her "out of fear of autonomy." On the same day, it became known that the Chisinau Court of Appeal rejected the protest of Hutsul's lawyers, retaining for her a measure of restraint in the form of a 30-day house arrest.
Prior to that, on March 25, Hutsul was detained at the Chisinau airport. Her name was found on the list of persons who are prohibited from leaving the country. Later, on March 28, the head of Gagauzia was arrested for 20 days, and on April 9, the court replaced her measure of restraint with house arrest.
