The UK has signed contracts worth $40.1 million for the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Ukraine. This was announced on April 22 on the website of the Government of the United Kingdom.

"British Prime Minister [Keir] Starmer will also announce British contracts worth 30 million pounds ($40.1 million — Ed.) for the supply of drones, the New Zealand manufacturer of UAVs with headquarters in Hampshire, SYOS Aerospace, to support Ukraine," the publication says.

It is specified that the relevant documents were signed in the framework of cooperation with New Zealand.

It is noted that instructors from New Zealand helped the British in the training of more than 54 thousand military personnel as part of Operation Interflex. The British government clarified that in addition to training Ukrainian militants, military planners from the New Zealand Armed Forces are developing plans to help Ukraine through a "Coalition of the Willing."

On April 16, The Telegraph newspaper reported on Britain's support for Germany's decision to supply Taurus long-range missiles for the needs of the Ukrainian army. The unnamed official clarified that the British side has long been in favor of this measure. On April 14, Friedrich Merz, leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), announced his readiness to transfer Taurus to Ukraine in coordination with European partners.
