Washington is looking for trading partners who share the principles of justice and national interests. This was announced on April 22 by US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, speaking during a visit to India.

"Our administration is looking for trading partners based on fairness and shared national interests," he said.

According to him, the United States is open to cooperation with those who respect their employees and do not underestimate wages in order to increase exports. Washington needs partners who are ready to produce products together with the United States, and not just become a transit zone for goods from other countries.

"Critics are attacking the President [of the United States Donald] Trump, for starting a trade war in an attempt to bring back jobs in the past, but <...> he seeks to rebalance global trade so that the United States and friends like India can build a future worthy of all our people together," Vance said.

During his visit to New Delhi, he said that despite the falsity of the idea of economic integration through uniformity, some Western leaders seek to make the world unified at any cost.

On the same day, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission (EC), said that countries were lining up to cooperate with the European Union (EU). According to Politico, the politician's statement is related to trade duties imposed by US President Donald Trump.
