The Postbank commented on the audit conducted by the Accounting Chamber

The audit of the Post Bank by the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation lasted more than a year, and the financial institution did a lot of work together with the state audit authority. This was reported to Izvestia on April 22 in the press service of the Russian Post.

"Key pain points have been identified that have not been addressed in the company for a long time. In just two years, the Russian Post team has managed to launch fundamental changes. The company demonstrates operating profit, labor productivity increased by 35%. The Russian Post continues to ensure the fulfillment of its social function," the press service said.

The government is currently discussing the bank's long-term strategy, and its key initiatives have been developed, among other things, based on the recommendations of the Accounting Chamber.

Questions also arose about expensive loans and inefficient spending on office repairs.

The day before, it was reported that the Accounting Chamber in its report suggests that the government instruct the Ministry of Labor and the Social Fund to submit proposals to amend legislation in order to establish monetary compensation for pensioners for late payment of benefits. It is indicated that such measures will contribute to increasing responsibility in terms of meeting the deadlines for the delivery of pensions.
