The exhibition "1418 days. On the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory"


On April 22, the exhibition "1418 days. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the press service of the PSB, which supported the exhibition, reported.
"This year we are celebrating the most important date — the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Generations have changed, and the exhibition that has opened is a tribute to the memory of the heroes that the Tretyakov Gallery and its guests pay when visiting the exhibition. We are all heirs of the generation of winners who glorified our country to the whole world, achieved unprecedented things and protected not only our native land, but also many peoples," said Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at the PSB, who participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The exhibition features paintings, graphics and sculptures, sketches of scenery for plays and films, as well as rare photographic and film materials.
According to the organizers, the exhibition will be accompanied by a cultural and educational program with the participation of leading art critics and historians. It includes screenings of classics of Russian cinema about the Great Patriotic War, public lectures on the reflection of the Great Victory in art, public talks and other events.
The exhibition will run until November 9, 2025.
