A swan that was shot was fished out of a pond in the Leningrad region.

Koshkispas volunteers caught a swan that had been shot at one of the reservoirs in the Gatchina district of the Leningrad region. The wounded bird was spotted near the village of Novy Svet, the 78 TV channel reported on Tuesday, April 22.
It took several hours to get the swan out of the water. At first, the volunteers tried to catch the bird with their hands, but it hid in the reeds. It was possible to pull her out of the reservoir closer to night.
It turned out that the swan's wing was damaged. He was taken to the Sirin Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. According to experts, due to a gunshot wound, the bird will not be able to return to the wild. Now doctors are fighting for her life.
Earlier in April, it was reported that herons began to return to the Leningrad region after wintering. Every year, the birds arrive at their permanent nesting place, which is called the "heron".
