UAZ Profi has become a tourist minibus

Small-scale production of a tourist minibus based on the four-wheel drive UAZ Profi may begin in Russia. This was reported to Izvestia on April 23 by a source in the Universal NN company, which has already built the first such minibus.
The nine-seat UAZ Tourist, created so far in a single copy, in compliance with all requirements for the conversion of vehicles, is currently undergoing trial operation in the Crimea.
According to the Izvestia source, the company is currently exploring the market and the possibility of using an all-terrain minibus to serve tourists in the country's resort towns. One of the options for using such a minibus may be to deliver passengers over rough terrain and off-road to hard-to-reach attractions. As an option, the UAZ Tourist can be equipped with a transformable cabin adapted for transporting passengers with limited mobility in wheelchairs.
Earlier, on April 15, it was reported that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in Russia certified the UAZ Profi line of commercial vehicles in a new modification with a diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The model has received Vehicle Type Approval (OTT).
