A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that units of the "Southern" group of forces liberated the village of Sukhaya Balka in the Donetsk People's Republic, units of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line.

"Air defense systems destroyed three JDAM guided aerial bombs and a US—made HIMARS multiple launch rocket, as well as 99 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the Defense Ministry said.

Also, operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the place of production of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in the 141st district.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 53,034 unmanned aerial vehicles, 604 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,985 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,546 multiple rocket launchers, 23,962 field artillery and mortars, and 34,416 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
