In Udmurtia, four buildings were damaged as a result of a natural fire. This was announced on April 22 by the Republican State Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"Dry vegetation is burning in the repair of the Nizhnevotkinsky forest site. The flames spread to horticultural buildings. Previously, four buildings were damaged," the Telegram channel says.
The ministry noted that due to the strong wind, the fire is spreading rapidly. In addition, firefighters are working at the scene.
On the same day, it was reported that in Russia, forest fire services were able to extinguish 49 fires in a day. It was clarified that more than 2.5 thousand people, 420 pieces of equipment, as well as five aircraft were involved in extinguishing the fires.
On April 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the government, demanded a timely response to forest fires and to avoid serious consequences. He noted that in at least eight regions of Russia, the number of forest fires significantly exceeded last year's figures.
