Used VW Polo and Kia Rio have fallen in price in Russia

According to the results of the first quarter, the cost of used Volkswagen Polo decreased by 13.1%, Kia Rio models with mileage became cheaper by 12.4%. This is stated in a study of the used car market at dealers' sites conducted by Avito Auto experts, which was received by Izvestia on April 22.

According to the study, in the first quarter of this year, the number of ads for used cars at dealers increased by 15.5% compared to the same period in 2024. Lada models occupied the largest share among the used cars offered for sale in car dealerships (10.5%). Kia is in second place with a 9.2% share, and Hyundai is in third place with a 7.8% result. Toyota took the fourth place with a 7.2% share, while Volkswagen rounded out the top 5 with a 5% share.

"Recently, there has been a slight decrease in consumer activity in the used car market. Nevertheless, the average prices in this category have hardly changed, although individual models have become noticeably more affordable than last year. Therefore, for those who are planning to buy a used car from a dealer, now is a rather favorable moment," said Andrey Kovalev, director of the Used Cars department at Avito.
