Putin appoints Alexei Isakov as Ambassador to Uruguay


Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Alexei Isakov as the Russian ambassador to Uruguay instead of Andrei Budaev. The relevant document was published on April 22 on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"Appoint Alexey Viktorovich Isakov as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Eastern Republic of Uruguay," the decree says.
Isakov was also appointed a part-time observer of the Russian Federation at the Committee of Representatives of the Latin American Integration Association.
Budaev has held both positions since October 5, 2020.
On April 18, Putin relieved Alexei Pavlovsky of his duties as the Russian ambassador to Australia. It is specified that he was appointed to this position in April 2019.
