Danil Yurov, the striker of Magnitogorsk Metallurg, and the hockey club (HC) have terminated their contract. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Russian team.

"The 21-year-old forward has decided to continue his career in the National Hockey League (NHL), in the system of the Minnesota Wild team, which drafted him in 2022," reads a statement posted on the club's Telegram channel.

It is specified that Metallurg retained the sports rights to the striker. Upon returning to the KHL, Yurov will play in his hockey club again.

Yurov is a graduate of the Metallurg School, and won the Gagarin Cup in the 2023/24 season. In the same season, he broke Vladimir Tarasenko's record for the most points in the regular season among KHL under-21 players, scoring 49 (21+28) points.

A day earlier, Russian Zakhar Bardakov signed a one-year contract with the NHL club Colorado Avalanche. In the 2024/25 season, the 24-year-old scored 35 points (17+18) in 53 KHL regular season matches for SKA St. Petersburg.
