Sculptor Korobtsov noted Tsereteli's contribution to Russian art

The sculptor Zurab Tsereteli made a significant contribution to Russian art, and he will be remembered. Russian sculptor Andrey Korobtsov told Izvestia about this on April 22.
"He definitely left his mark. He will be remembered. There are many ways to treat him, but Tsereteli made a great contribution to Russian art. His plastic language is quite unusual, his work is vivid and recognizable. Tsereteli had his own handwriting, which makes it easy to recognize his work. This shows that we have a great artist in front of us," he said.
According to Korobtsov, the sculptor was a kind and sympathetic person who had a lot of life experience and could answer any intellectual question. He added that Tsereteli is a "prominent figure" especially in the field of art.
The artist Konstantin Miroshnik also stated in an interview with Izvestia that Tsereteli was the main sculptor in the world, whose work was known in all countries, he was a patriot and loved Russia.
The death of muralist, sculptor and President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli became known earlier that day. His assistant Sergey Shagulashvili told Izvestia that the sculptor died of cardiac arrest in his studio at home.
