All major exterior and interior body parts, including doors, fenders, hoods, sidewalls and roofs, as well as the supporting elements of Sollers vehicles are now made of Russian-made galvanized steel. This was announced on April 22 by the press service of the domestic automaker.

The use of local parts will significantly increase the corrosion resistance of the body, as well as improve its quality and geometric accuracy, the company noted. In total, about 120 body parts have been localized on the site of the project's partner company, the Sollers press service emphasized.

"Starting in April, more than 50% of the weight of Sollers Atlant bodies and Argo cabins has been stamped in Russia from galvanized domestic metal. Sollers was the first automaker to relaunch its production sites and achieve such localization of the car body and cabin," said Nikolai Sobolev, CEO of Sollers PJSC.

The company said that for the implementation of this project, Sollers Alabuga attracted a preferential loan from the Federal Fund for Industrial Development in the amount of 3.4 billion rubles. These funds were used to purchase stamping equipment and control devices. The total investment in the project amounted to 4.3 billion rubles.

On the eve of April 21, a new rescue vehicle based on the UAZ Profi was introduced in Russia for emergency departments. The first batch of cars has already been delivered to customers.
