Stoloto will send 48.7 million rubles to the Orthodox relief service Mercy based on the results of the charity Easter run of the Russian Lotto. This was reported in the press service of the largest distributor of the All-Russian state lottery.

10 rubles from each lottery ticket sold went to charity. In total, almost 4.9 million tickets were sold for the Easter edition.

"The Mercy Assistance service has the necessary resources to provide various types of assistance to those in need. Thus, people receive support in humanitarian aid centers, shelters and other institutions, where they can always count on help in a difficult life period," said Varvara Basanovich, Stoloto's Chief Operating Officer for Marketing.

The broadcast of the 1635th edition of the Russian Lotto took place on April 20, Easter Day. According to the results of the drawing, every second ticket became a winner. The total amount of the participants' winnings was about 377 million rubles.

Over the past three years, more than 153.7 million rubles have been raised for charity as part of the Easter editions of the Russian Lotto. The wards of the Mercy service are children and adults with disabilities and serious illnesses, lonely elderly people, low-income families and people who find themselves in a difficult life situation.

Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state—owned, organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, and they are conducted under the state supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. State lotteries distributed by Stoloto are a significant source of replenishment of budgets at various levels of the Russian Federation in order to finance socially significant facilities and activities, including activities for the development of physical culture and sports, high-performance sports and the sports reserve training system, thus making a proportionate contribution to improving the quality of life of Russians.
