Russian military personnel have liberated the St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery in the Kursk region from the occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on April 22 by the North group of troops in its Telegram channel.

"During stubborn battles that lasted for more than 10 days, the fearless broke the enemy's resistance and fulfilled their sacred duty by liberating the St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery in the south of the Sudzhansky district," the message says.

The footage available to Izvestia shows the combat work of the Russian military in the area near the monastery.

It is noted that the monastery served as a military facility for Ukrainian militants, on the territory of which artillery installations, drone control points were located, and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were stationed in historical buildings.

In addition, the monastery was stormed by marines of the 40th brigade of the Russian Armed Forces of the North group. At the same time, there is a secret passage from the facility to the territory of the Sumy region, adds "Газета.Ru ".

Earlier that day, the artillery of the Rosgvardiya eliminated the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. According to intelligence reports, the Rosgvardiya inflicted fire damage on enemy positions using a drone.
