- Scientists have warned about an increase in the activity of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano in Kamchatka

Scientists have warned about the high activity and its possible growth of the Klyuchevaya Sopka volcano in the Kamchatka Territory. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"The glow in the volcano's crater was first noted on April 20. The following night, there was a frequent glow at night, which indicates the gradual filling of the crater with red—hot lava, generating Strombolian activity," the department's Telegram channel reported.
According to scientists, it is possible to further increase the activity of the volcano with the outpouring of lava and ash emissions to a height of up to one km.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned about the inadmissibility of visiting the volcano both as part of tourist groups and independently.
A day earlier, an eruption of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano was recorded in Kamchatka. Scientists reported a glow in the volcano's crater that lasted several minutes.
