Kuzmenko's three points helped Los Angeles beat Edmonton in the NHL playoffs.

The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Edmonton Oilers in the opening match of the first round of the playoffs of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The match on April 22 ended with a score of 6:5.

Russian Andrey Kuzmenko scored a goal and two assists in the third minute for Los Angeles. So, the forward scored three points in the opening match of the Stanley Cup. Quinton Byfield (20th), Adrian Kempe (35th), Phillip Dano (38th and 60th) and Kevin Fiala (45th) also scored goals.

Leon Dreisaitl (40th), Matthias Janmark (43rd), Corey Perry (47th), Zach Hyman (58th) and Connor McDavid (59th) scored among the players of the Edmonton Oilers hockey club.

The second match of the first round of the Stanley Cup will be held in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 23.
