Two people died as a result of a fire in an apartment in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

A woman and a man were killed in a fire in one of the apartments of a residential building in the village of Nugush, Meleuzovsky district. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

"At three o'clock in the morning in the village of Nugush, a fire broke out in one of the apartments of a semi-detached apartment building on Embankment Street. <...> Unfortunately, a 72-year—old woman and a 50-year-old man were found dead during extinguishing," the Telegram channel said.

13 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and volunteers were engaged in extinguishing the fire. The gorenje was eliminated on 58 sq. m. with the help of five pieces of equipment. According to one of the preliminary versions of the agency, the fire could have occurred due to carelessness while smoking.

On the same day, it was reported that a fire broke out in an apartment building in southwest Moscow, killing two people. The fire started in one of the houses on Nagornaya Street. The fire area was 15 sq. m.
