The State Duma proposed to develop new criteria for turning off heating in homes

When heating is turned off in residential buildings with the onset of heat, it is necessary to take into account not only the average daily temperatures, but also weather forecasts. This was announced on April 22 by Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma.
He clarified that the thermometer columns in the apartments of residents of Moscow and many other regions now show an average of +28 ... +30 degrees when the temperature outside is +25 degrees. According to him, this situation requires a prompt solution.
"Given that this is a systemic problem, we will develop clear criteria for shutting down heating, taking into account not only the average daily temperatures, but also weather forecasts, and the specifics of heating networks in different regions," the vice speaker said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Chernyshov added that people are surprised by such strong heating, given its shortage in winter, when it was cold.
"The current approach, in which turning off the heating or lowering the temperature of the batteries depends on calendar dates or some formal indicators, rather than on real weather conditions, does not correspond to modern realities," the vice speaker noted.
He also drew attention to the fact that the authorities should take a flexible and prompt decision on the spot. According to him, public utilities need to prioritize the comfort of citizens and the targeted use of energy resources.
On April 16, Pyotr Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping, announced that due to the warm weather, heating in the city had been switched to the lowest possible parameters. According to him, the temperature of the coolant was lowered to 75-77 degrees, which is the minimum for heating hot water to the standard 60 degrees.
