Control over children of foreign citizens will be tightened

The Government's Commission on Legislative Activity has approved a draft law stating that the police, regional departments and ministries of education will exchange information about migrant children. This was reported by Izvestia's sources in the government on April 21. The document is available to the editorial staff.
"It is proposed to establish the transfer of information between the divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the executive bodies of the regional and municipal levels that manage education. It is planned that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will transmit information about registration, registration and, accordingly, de-registration or registration of minor foreign citizens. And the executive authorities will provide information about the admission or expulsion of foreign minors, and the results of Russian language proficiency testing," said Vladimir Gruzdev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Bar Association.
The expert added that it is also proposed to establish the transfer of information to the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the fact that minor foreign citizens and their legal representatives included in the register of controlled persons apply for admission to educational institutions.
"Such a register is used to keep records of foreign citizens who are in Russia and do not have legal grounds to stay or reside," summed up the Chairman of the Board of AYUR.
