Two foreign cars collided on a highway in Yekaterinburg, killing one person. This was announced on April 21 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region.

It is specified that the accident occurred on Syromolotov Street. It was previously established that the driver of a Hyundai Solaris car did not provide an advantage to a motorist in a similar vehicle when leaving a secondary road, thereby causing a collision.

"As a result of the accident, the driver of a foreign car who violated traffic regulations died from life—threatening injuries before the arrival of the medical team," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

Additional circumstances of the incident are being established.

On the same day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that 625 road accidents occurred on Russian roads over the past weekend, in which 79 people were killed and 793 injured, 64 of the dead were passengers and drivers of vehicles.
