Sevastopol will abandon street and avenue

Sevastopol will stop using some foreign words on signage. The new shape of the plaques was approved by the Department of Architecture, the press service of the city government reported on Monday, April 21.

The order stipulates that the words "street", "avenue" and others will not be translated into English on address signs. That is, street and avenue will disappear, writes IA SevastopolMedia. Transliteration will be used: ulica, prospect.

Earlier it was reported that Sevastopol has developed a design code for the city, which all new buildings must comply with. This is a set of tools necessary for the repair, construction and reconstruction of houses, landscaping elements and in the design of storefronts.
