In Gorlovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a civilian died after stumbling upon an antipersonnel mine dropped by Ukrainian militants, Mayor Ivan Prikhodko said on April 21.
It is noted that the man was seriously injured and was hospitalized, but the injuries proved to be life-threatening.
"As a result of the explosion of an anti-personnel mine in the cemetery of the village of Golmovsky, a civilian from Gorlovka was injured. The man died on the operating table from his injuries," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Prikhodko expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased resident.
On April 20, the Ukrainian War Crimes Documentation Department of the administration of the head and government of the DPR reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had fired on Gorlovka for the seventh time since the beginning of the day, violating the Easter truce. It is specified that the Ukrainian army attacked Gorlovka at 20:10 Moscow time, using 155 mm NATO artillery and firing four shells.
On the same day, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, violating the announced Easter truce, tried to attack the settlements of Sukhaya Balka and Bogatyr in the DPR, their attacks were repelled.
