The Victory Readings campaign was held in Minsk

On April 21, Minsk hosted the final event in the framework of the "Victory Readings" cycle dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The venue of the meeting was the Moscow House in the Belarusian capital.

The readings were dedicated to the heroism of the people of Belarus during the war. The key theme of the event was the powerful partisan movement that developed in the republic during the German occupation and brought together people of all nationalities and ages.

Honored Artists of the Republic of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno, Andrey Dushechkin, Alexander Avramenko and others, as well as the Republican Chamber Choir performed in front of the audience of the Victory Readings. The participants read and performed lines by Yakub Kolas, Ales Adamovich, Vladimir Korotkevich, Rasul Gamzatov, Konstantin Simonov, Alexander Tvardovsky and many other writers. Excerpts from letters of veterans and military songs were also heard from the stage.

The Victory Readings were conceived as a large-scale project celebrating the exploits of both soldiers and ordinary civilians during the war. Famous actors, musicians and public figures took part in the events of the cycle.

Earlier readings were held in the Moscow metro, the Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum, the historical cinema in Kaliningrad, as well as in Tashkent. At the meeting in the capital of Uzbekistan, Dmitry Kharatyan, a native of this country, People's Artist of Russia, addressed the audience.
