The Foreign Ministry pointed out that there are no restrictions on cultural cooperation with the United States.

The Russian authorities have never limited cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the United States, even though Washington may have maintained an unfriendly position towards Moscow. This was stated on April 21 by Alexander Alimov, Director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Our position is that even with countries whose governments do not follow friendly policies towards our country, with creative people, with creators, with scientists, with athletes who are ready to interact with our country, work on our sites, we have no restrictions on interaction. The same applies to the United States," the diplomat told reporters.

As Alimov stressed, the current stage of negotiations between the two powers should be perceived calmly, without unnecessary emotions.

"There is no need to get discouraged or euphoric, we need to be pragmatic, we need to be realistic, we need to understand that the Russian side is conducting these negotiations based on full consideration of its interests, we will not rush into someone's arms again," he said.

At the same time, for the sake of dialogue with the United States, Russia also does not intend to forget about its other partners at all, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
