Roscosmos has appointed Denis Deniskin as the new CEO of the Khrunichev Center.


Roscosmos has agreed to dismiss Alexei Varokhko, Director General of the Khrunichev Space Center, and a new head, Denis Deniskin, has been appointed in his place, the state corporation said on April 21.
"The Supervisory Board of the Roscosmos State Corporation has agreed to dismiss Alexey Varokhko from the post of CEO of the Khrunichev State Scientific and Scientific Research Center and appoint Denis Deniskin, First Deputy CEO for Production and Research at the Khrunichev Center, in his place," the Roscosmos Telegram channel said.
The new head of the center was born in 1984. He is a graduate of Bauman Moscow State University with a degree in Instruments and systems of orientation, Stabilization and Navigation. He holds a PhD in Technical Sciences.
Deniskin is a member of the Federal Personnel Reserve of the leadership of the military-industrial complex. Prior to his appointment to the new post, he was the director of the branch of FSUE TsENKI, the V.I. Kuznetsov Research Institute of Applied Mechanics.
On February 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed the former head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, as his special representative for international cooperation in space. Borisov left the position of CEO of Roscosmos on February 6. Dmitry Bakanov, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Transport, was appointed in his place.
On March 31, Bakanov named the top priorities in his post, including the completion of the national space project and attracting private investors. He also reported to the President on strategic plans for the development of the space program.
