- The State Duma responded to Trump's words about the deadline for the deal with Ukraine

The conclusion of a full-fledged peace deal between Russia and Ukraine this week is unlikely. This was stated by State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa on Monday, April 21.
At the same time, he admitted that separate agreements on non-strikes against certain targets are possible.
"Yesterday, despite the declared truce, there were constant violations on the part of Ukraine. That is why it is so important to work out the terms of the truce and the control system so that there are measures in case of violations and provocations," the politician said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
According to Chepa, it is for this reason that the conclusion of a full-scale agreement, which was hoped for by US President Donald Trump, is impossible within one week.
"If we are talking about such limited arrangements as non—strikes on energy facilities, this is possible. Although there is a question about their effectiveness, because Ukraine regularly violated previous agreements. Their desire for peace is still declarative," the deputy concluded.
On April 20, Trump expressed hope for concluding a deal between Russia and Ukraine next week, NSN reports.
According to the American leader, both countries can then begin business cooperation with the United States. 360.ru .
In turn, Cristian Lamesa, an international analyst, writer, and ambassador of the Russian society Znanie in Argentina, told Izvestia that the Easter truce in Ukraine announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin would be positively assessed by the United States, reflecting the Kremlin's sincere intention to create lasting peace.
