The number of vacancies in the road construction segment increased by 18% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year. This is due to the active development of road infrastructure throughout the country. The analysts of the Avito Rabota service told Izvestia about this on April 22.

According to the service, installers turned out to be the most in demand — the number of vacancies for these specialists increased by 135%. Employers are willing to pay qualified installers an average of 119,584 rubles per month. The second place in terms of growth rates was taken by road workers — the demand for them increased by 106% with an average salary of 75,269 rubles. Engineers in the field of road construction took the third place with a 94% increase in vacancies and an average salary of 86,905 rubles.

Among other sought—after professions, analysts note truck drivers - +31% of vacancies, 96,359 rubles, and handymen — +13%, 80,810 rubles. The average salary in the industry was 93,119 rubles, which is 5% higher than last year.

The highest—paid specialists were rebar workers - their average salary was 136,484 rubles, which is 58% more than last year. It is followed by installers (119,584 rubles, +21%), machinists of special equipment (97,692 rubles, +2%), welders (91,442 rubles, +24%) and concrete workers (91,400 rubles, +9%).

Experts attribute the growing demand for road builders to the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects throughout Russia. The increase in salary offers indicates high competition among employers for qualified personnel in this field.

Earlier, on March 30, Vladislav Bykhanov, managing partner of the CORNERSTONE recruitment company, told Izvestia how to act if there is a desire to change jobs. According to him, in no case should you go "nowhere", because there is a high risk of sitting around for a long time, since the labor market for this period of time is not merciful to the middle and upper levels. He also recommends against going where former colleagues and bosses call you.
