Russians have listed the cities with the largest number of workaholics

Among the Russians surveyed, almost half (49%) gave priority to Moscow in workaholism — the capital is traditionally associated with a dynamic rhythm of life and high competition. This is stated in the results of a study of the services "Work.<url>" and "Part-time Job", which were reviewed by Izvestia on April 22.

The second place is occupied by St. Petersburg (25%), the cultural capital, where business activity is also in full swing. Novosibirsk closes the top three with 14% of the votes, confirming its status as the largest industrial and scientific center in Siberia.

Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk are on the fourth line (12% each). They were followed by Krasnoyarsk (10%), Krasnodar (9%), Kazan, Vladivostok and Nizhny Novgorod (8% each), Voronezh and Khabarovsk (7% each), Ufa (6%). Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Omsk, Perm and Volgograd were chosen by 5% of respondents each.

Speaking about the probable causes of workaholism, 45% of respondents pointed to the dynamic rhythm of life in the city. The high cost of living and the desire for financial stability were the second most popular response (39%). In addition, 37% of the study participants believe that high competition in the labor market pushes people to work more. Career growth opportunities were noted by 25% of respondents, the presence of a large number of enterprises (24%) It was also mentioned as one of the reasons that creates a favorable environment for workaholics.

22% of respondents pointed to the concentration of large companies and key industries in individual cities, 21% pointed to opportunities for additional earnings, and 20% highlighted the culture of overworking and the ambition of residents. The lack of time for rest due to a busy schedule and a characteristic feature of the population each scored 14% of the votes.
