The expert predicted the ruble exchange rate this week

During the week, price fluctuations are expected in the range of 77.5–84.5 rubles per dollar, 88.5–96 rubles per euro and 10.5–11.7 rubles per yuan, according to Spartak Sobolev, head of Research and Investment Strategies at Alfa-Forex. He told Izvestia about this on April 21.
On April 19, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation set the exchange rate of the American currency at 81.1 rubles, the European currency at 92.2 rubles, and the Chinese currency at 11 rubles. At the same time, according to the Moscow Exchange, on April 18, the yuan is trading at 11.1 rubles.
"Since the opening of the weekly session, the ruble has looked strong against the dollar and the yuan, but at the same time it is partially losing ground against the euro. This is primarily due to the growing distrust of the US currency, which is intensifying after the Easter weekend," Sobolev explained.
According to him, the favorable geopolitical situation still helps to reduce the sanctions risk premium. The second half of the month usually leads to an increase in foreign currency sales by exporters before taxes are paid.
On April 8, the Central Bank of Russia reported that the ruble strengthened in March due to a good trade balance and demand for ruble assets. At the same time, it is noted that due to the geopolitical situation and signals of maintaining tight monetary policy, the Moscow Exchange index showed negative dynamics in March.
