Kneissl stated that the EU cannot support Ukraine without the participation of the United States

The European Union (EU) is unable to provide military support to Ukraine without the participation of the United States. This was announced on 21 by former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl.

"We do not expect them to cope with this burden, because it is a matter of acquiring weapons, including from the United States. Europe needs the US military industry," she told the RIA Novosti news agency.

She added that European countries are gripped by hysteria, and EU leaders are constantly talking about the need to prepare for an allegedly inevitable conflict with Russia.

It does not have complete analogues of the HIMARS-type MLRS, and the EU countries do not intend to share tanks.

On April 19, Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN, Andriy Melnyk, demanded that Germany transfer 30% of the Bundeswehr's aviation and land equipment and Taurus cruise missiles to the Ukrainian army. Military experts noted that such a step would require the withdrawal of combat vehicles from combatant units of the German army.

Earlier, on April 7, the newspaper Politico reported on the inability of the French operator Eutelsat to provide Ukraine with communications in the event of the refusal of the American company Starlink from such work. The publication emphasized that Europe does not have sufficient capacity to provide such a system.
