- Patrushev discussed with the governor of the Stavropol Territory the progress of spring field work

Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, held a working meeting with Vladimir Vladimirovich, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, during which they discussed the development of the region's agro-industrial complex and the implementation of national environmental projects.
Federal state support for the agro-industrial complex increased by 1 billion rubles this year compared to the previous year and amounted to almost 5 billion rubles. The Stavropol Territory is showing growth in a significant part of indicators in the field of agriculture. For example, milk production in 2024 amounted to almost 570 thousand tons, which is higher than a year earlier. In January — March of this year, almost 60,000 were produced, which is 12% higher than in the same period last year.
As Vladimirov pointed out, spring field work is currently actively underway in the region, farmers are sowing early spring crops. Almost 450 thousand hectares have been sown — this is corn and sunflower. Sugar beet is currently being sown. The main part of winter crops is in good and satisfactory condition. The farmers of the region are provided with everything necessary for the sowing campaign.
Import substitution is one of the key tasks in agriculture. According to Vladimirova, when sowing grain crops, farmers use 100% of seeds of domestic production.
Work in the environmental field was also discussed at the meeting. Within the framework of the Ecology national project, from 2019 to 2024, three federal projects were implemented in the Stavropol Territory: "Clean Country", "Integrated Solid Municipal Waste Management System" and "Forest Conservation". The total amount of financing amounted to more than 1.3 billion rubles. As part of the new national project "Ecological Well-being", Stavropol Krai participates in the federal projects "Closed-loop Economy", "Russian Water" and "Forest Conservation".
On April 12, Patrushev, during a working trip to the Rostov region, also discussed with Acting Governor Yuri Slyusar the sowing campaign and the implementation of national projects in the field of ecology and food security. A day earlier, at a meeting on seasonal field work in Russia in the region, he noted that the sown area in Russia in 2025 will increase to about 84 million hectares.
