WP found out about Musk's intention to leave the US government

American billionaire, head of the US Department of Public Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk wants to leave his job in the government because he is tired of criticism from the left. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP) on April 21.
According to the publication, Musk's status as a special government employee expires at the end of May, but it is not yet known whether this period will be extended.
"The billionaire is ready to leave because he is tired of resisting what he considers a lot of unpleasant and unethical attacks from leftist politicians," the publication says.
At the same time, it is noted that Musk is not worried about the future of the DOGE he created, as members of his team have already gained a foothold "in many federal agencies." An unnamed White House official, in turn, told the newspaper that no one in the United States could say that Musk's team had not been successful, as "the results speak for themselves."
The Axios portal reported on April 10 that a group of 77 Democrats of the US House of Representatives is launching a coordinated campaign to achieve the removal of Musk from the administration of US President Donald Trump by May 30.
Earlier, on March 31, Trump said that Musk could step away from politics and government in the future in order to devote all his time to business again. However, the president said he would try to keep him on the team as long as he could.
