Programmers, marketers, and copywriters earn the highest income among freelancers. This is stated in the results of a study of the service for secure transactions with freelancers Solar Staff, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 22. The experts compared two periods: from April 2023 to March 2024 and from April 2024 to March 2025.

Programmers earn an average of 200,000 rubles per month. This is 33% higher than a year earlier. Marketers — 105,826 rubles (+27%), copywriters — 62,202 rubles (+40%). At the same time, the designers' incomes remained at the level of last year — about 64 thousand rubles.

In addition, the income of online teachers is growing in some regions, but it still remains the most modest in the country — about 41 thousand rubles (+21%).

Event managers faced a 25% drop in average income, despite an almost fourfold increase in the number of specialists in this category.

In almost all regions, programmers remain the highest-paid category, while marketers consistently rank second in both numbers and earnings. According to analysts, copywriting is relevant in Moscow, Tatarstan and Novosibirsk, where freelancers in this category manage to earn significantly above the average level. At the same time, in Yekaterinburg, copywriters' incomes have more than doubled compared to last year.

However, event managers and teachers are the least popular and financially successful freelance professions, especially in the regions.

"We see that the freelance market in the regions is becoming more mature. Specialists are moving beyond local demand and are increasingly working with companies from other regions. This leads to income equalization between the center and the regions, at least in digital professions," said Vladimir Koritsky, CEO of Solar Staff.

However, he clarified that the demand for specialists depends not so much on their geography as on their skill level and ability to adapt to new conditions, from remote communication to flexible tax regimes. In his opinion, this trend will intensify.

On January 10, it was reported that the majority of Russians surveyed (57%) intend to actively pay attention to their careers in 2025. At the same time, 65% of respondents were going to spend more time at work a year ago. This is stated in the results of the analysts' research. hh.ru .
