In St. Petersburg, Dmitry Voronenko, a serial killer and rapist sentenced to life in prison, was found guilty of two more murders, which he committed in 2005 and 2006. On April 21, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city was informed about this.

"The evidence collected by the investigator of the first directorate for the investigation of particularly important cases of the General Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict Dmitro Voronenko," the department's Telegram channel says.

He was found guilty of committing a crime in accordance with "a", "b", "k" of part 2 of 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two persons involving rape and violent acts of a sexual nature").

It was established that in November 2005, Voronenko, intoxicated, met a 28-year-old girl on Veterans Avenue and invited her to take a walk in Polezhaevsky Park. As a result of the conflict, the man attacked the victim and strangled her. After the murder, he stole the girl's phone and threw her body into a nearby ditch, throwing branches.

Voronenko committed the second murder on September 26, 2006. Not far from the canal in the Coal Harbor, he attacked a 12-year-old girl. Voronenko strangled the victim with his elbow, after which he raped her. After committing the crime, he fled the scene.

The court sentenced Voronenko to 18 years in prison, for a combination of crimes to life imprisonment to be served in a special regime colony.

On December 16, the Zavodskoy district court of Novokuznetsk received a claim for moral compensation from the daughter of one of the victims of serial killer Spesivtsev. On December 17, a woman told Izvestia that, in her opinion, the killer pretended to be insane during a medical examination.

In May 2024, Spesivtsev was sent for compulsory medical treatment due to the fact that his involvement in the murder of 15 people, 11 of whom were minors, was proven.

In the 1990s, together with his mother, Spesivtsev lured children and teenagers to his apartment in Novokuznetsk, killed them and ate them. In 1999, he was convicted in connection with the murder of four people.
